International support funds significantly compensate for budget losses, but Ukraine should rely on itself to fill it - Hetmantsev
International support funds are a significant compensation for the losses of the state budget, however, in filling it, Ukraine must rely on its own resources - tax revenues and borrowings from war bonds, head of the parliamentary committee of the Verkhovna Rada on finance, tax and customs policy Danylo Hetmantsev said.
"We count on financial assistance from all financial institutions where we are members, as well as from the governments of other countries. The announced figures of financial support are only the first act," he said in an interview with the agency.
"Undoubtedly, this is a significant compensation for those budget losses that occur during a difficult period. But I would not rely solely on this assistance as the only source. When filling the budget, we must rely on our own strength," Hetmantsev said.
The MP said that if customs revenues sag, Ukraine can fill the budget with taxes and military bonds.
