French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz are having a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, BFMTV channel reports, citing data from the French side.

Earlier this week, Macron said he planned to have such a conversation with the Russian president with Scholz to discuss events in Ukraine.
