Von der Leyen: War crimes committed in Ukraine by Russia must be investigated
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen backs an investigation into war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine.
She made such a statement on Friday in Versailles (France) at the end of the informal EU summit.
Von der Leyen called the bombing of the Mariupol maternity hospital an atrocity.
She said that she thinks there should be an investigation into war crimes, this should be carefully recorded.
At the same time, the president of the European Commission assured that the fourth package of sanctions for the Russian Federation "will be." The EU has our own way of responding to cruelty, she said.
