IMF already transfers $1.4 bln in emergency financial aid to Ukraine
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has already transferred $1.4 billion (SDR1.006 billion) of emergency financial support to Ukraine under the Rapid Financing Instrument (RFI), a decision on which was made in Washington on March 9.
"The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) yesterday approved a disbursement of $1.4 billion under the Rapid Financing Instrument to help meet urgent financing needs and mitigate the economic impact of the war," Kristalina Georgieva, IMF Managing Director and Chair, said at a press conference in Washington on the evening of March 10.
