Prospects for Russia-Ukraine summit discussed at meeting between Lavrov, Kuleba - Cavusoglu
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday that the prospects for a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky were discussed, in particular, at a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov and Dmytro Kuleba in Antalya.
"Cavusoglu said at a meeting with Lavrov and Kuleba in Antalya that the topic of organizing a meeting between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine was also discussed," the Anadolu agency reported.
In turn, the publication "Sabah" noted that Cavusoglu considered the establishment of contact at such a ministerial level between the Russian Federation and Ukraine as the most significant result of the negotiations in Antalya. The head of Turkish foreign ministry also said that Kyiv considers Turkey as one of the possible guarantors of a sustainable ceasefire in Ukraine.
Cavusoglu said that nothing should interfere with the work of humanitarian corridors in Ukraine.
