The Ukrainian military defeated a tank regiment of Russian troops and eliminated the commander, Colonel A. Zakharov in Brovarsky district, the press service of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense said.

"During the conduct of hostilities in the Brovarsky district of Kyiv region, the battalion tactical group of the 6th tank regiment (Chebarkul) of the 90th tank division of the Central Military District suffered significant losses in personnel and equipment. In particular, the commander of the regiment, Colonel A. Zakharov, was liquidated," the press service of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

It is noted that as a result of significant losses of the BTGr of the 6th tank regiment, together with the battalion tactical group of the 239th tank regiment of the 90th tank division, they were forced to retreat and go on the defensive.

In turn, the National Corps press service reported that "Azov" and the 72nd brigade defeated the tank regiment of the Russian Federation, as a result of which the commander of the occupying regiment was liquidated.
