Venice Commission initiates termination of Russian representative office in its composition - Constitutional Court

The Venice Commission initiates termination of the representative office of the Russian Federation in its composition, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine reports.

"Members of the Bureau of the Venice Commission on March 8 agreed on the decision to apply to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe with the issue of terminating Russia’s right to representation in the Venice Commission," the Constitutional Court reports in Telegram on Wednesday, citing a member of the commission, Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Serhiy Holovaty.

The EU Committee of Ministers is expected to make a decision on the matter on March 10.
