Radiation level in Zaporizhia region poses no threat to people's life, health - Kyiv
The radiation level on the territory of the Zaporizhia region remains unchanged and poses no threat to people's life and health, the state establishment Zaporizhia Region's Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Health Ministry of Ukraine said.
"As of 08:00 a.m. on March 8, 2022, the gamma background was 9.8 mcR/h in Energodar; 12 mcR/h in Zaporizhia; 12-20 mcR/h in Melitopol; 12 mcR/h in Tokmak; 10-13 mcR/h in Berdiansk; 12 mcR/h in Vasylivka; 10-13 mcR/h in Andriyivka, and did not exceed the natural levels characteristic of these territories," the report said.
Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, one of the largest nuclear plants in Europe, is located in Energodar, Zaporizhia region.
