Ukrainian Navy shoots down Russian plane over Ochakov – Ukraine's General Staff

The Naval forces of Ukraine shot down a Russian Federation Su-25 aircraft over Ochakov, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported.

"The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports the destruction of another aircraft of the Russian Federation, namely the Su-25 in Ochakov ... The pilots were captured," the General Staff wrote on Facebook on Saturday.

The General Staff notes that the downed plane took off on its "last" flight from the airfield in Saki (Novofedorovka, Crimea), captured by the army of the Russian Federation in 2014.

The General Staff notes that the Russian Federation has been trying to destroy Ochakov for several days, making constant air raids, intimidating the civilian population.
