Rada chairman asks European parliamentarians to help close sky over Ukraine
Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk has appealed to the members of the European Parliament to help introduce a no-fly zone over Ukraine.
"I've sent an appeal to the members of the European Parliament. Once again I ask you to make every effort to introduce a no-fly zone over Ukraine and provide other military and sanctions support," Stefanchuk wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
Stefanchuk said that the MEPs have a mandate to act.
"Of course, you can talk for hours about regulations, procedures, political processes... Or you can just muster up the courage and make a life-changing decision for the world. Parliament can do anything!... As world history shows, the most important decisions have always been made in parliaments. Therefore, do not be afraid. Take action!" Stefanchuk said.
