ICRC President, Ukraine's PM discuss priority of safe evacuation of civilians
President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer discussed with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal the critical need to deliver essential supplies to the civilian population of Ukraine, the priority of the safe evacuation of civilians and the importance of respecting international humanitarian law.
"In my conversation with Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, we spoke about the critical need for emergency supplies to reach civilians. We also discussed the priority of safe evacuation of civilians and the importance of upholding international humanitarian law," Maurer said on Twitter on Friday.
