Another batch of Starlink equipment to be delivered to Ukraine – Fedorov
Another batch of Starlink satellite Internet stations with modified parameters for work at the front will be delivered to Ukraine, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said.
"We are expecting a new batch of Starlink in the near future, but for now, Elon Musk has responded to our request. The SpaceX team has updated the software to reduce energy consumption so that Starlink can be powered from a car cigarette lighter," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
The company's engineers have also enabled mobile roaming so that the phased array antenna can maintain a signal as the vehicle moves, Fedorov said.
"All this will help our heroes to be in touch!" said deputy PM.
As reported, the first batch of Starlink satellite Internet stations arrived in Ukraine on March 1, 2022.
Starlink became active on the territory of Ukraine on February 27, 2022.
