Energodar mayor: No deaths, injuries among civilian population as a result of firefight at Zaporizhia NPP
There are no losses or injuries among the civilian population as a result of the shelling of the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant (NPP), Energodar Mayor Dmytro Orlov has said
"There are no casualties or loses among the civilian population, unarmed civilian population ... As for the shots. No shots were fired at the civilian population, if they were fired, then with blank cartridges. There were no shots in residential areas," Orlov said in his video message.
He said the heating system for the city is not functioning and the water supply system is damaged. At the same time, water supply and electricity supply have been restored.
According to him, the fourth power unit is in operation at the nuclear power plant and is operating normally, as as well as the units of the thermal power plant.
"The fire has been extinguished at the training center of the NPP," he added.
