Moldovan embassy in Kyiv suspends its work

The Moldovan embassy in Kyiv has suspended its work for security reasons, the embassy's page on social media said.

"For security reasons, the Moldovan embassy to Ukraine temporarily suspends its activities. Please send all inquiries to the Moldovan Consulate in Odesa," the statement said.

Earlier, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry evacuated from Ukraine most of its diplomatic employees, as well as their family members. So far, the Moldovan Consulate in Odesa continues to work. Moldova has no other diplomatic missions in Ukraine.

Earlier the Moldovan parliament declared a state of emergency in the country due to the situation in Ukraine. Since February 24, 136,386 Ukrainian citizens have arrived in Moldova.
