Gas main damaged by air attack in Kharkiv region, more than 40,000 people cut off from gas – GTSOU
A gas main was damaged in Kharkiv region as a result of an air attack, the press service of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC (GTSOU) said.
In connection with this, company employees turned off the Izium and Brazhkivka gas distribution stations, as a result gas supply to Izium was suspended. More than 40,000 people were cut off gas as of 15 p.m.
According to preliminary information, no employees were killed or injured by the explosion. Gas supply will be resumed as soon as necessary repair works are carried out.
"A targeted attack on critical infrastructure entities is an act of terror against the civilian population of Ukraine," Head of the GTSOU Serhiy Makogon said.
