Almost 90% of Ukrainians think country will repel invasion, 80% ready to take up arms – Rating Group
The overwhelming majority of Ukrainians, 88%, believe that Ukraine will be able to repel the attack of the Russian Federation, according to the results of a poll conducted by the Rating Sociological Group on March 1.
"Almost every day this figure is growing. Only 10% today do not have such confidence. Faith in victory in all regions of the country," the press release says.
Some 98% of respondents support the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 93% support the activities of the president and 84% support the actions of local officials.
Some 80% of respondents noted that they are ready to defend the territorial integrity of Ukraine with weapons in their hands, while in the east of the country this figure is lower, but is almost 60%. Compared to pre-war times, this figure has increased significantly (in 2020 - 59%). In terms of gender, 90% of men and 70% of women expressed their readiness to fight with weapons for Ukraine.
Some 90% of respondents, thinking about the situation in the country, express hope. Only 5% are disappointed. Compared to pre-war times, the number of hopefuls has tripled. In almost all regions, there is a maximum level of feeling of hope.
The study interviewed 1,200 respondents over the age of 18 in all government-controlled regions using CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews - telephone interviews using a computer). The error of the representativeness of the study with a confidence probability of 0.95 does not exceed 2.8%.
