The Russian army lost 5,840 servicemen during its invasion of Ukraine, the press service of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports.
"The total estimated losses of the enemy from February 24 to March 2 amount to: personnel - 5,840 people, aircraft - 30 units, helicopters - 31 units, tanks - up to 211, armored combat vehicles - 862, artillery systems - 85, air defense systems - 9, MLRS - 40, tanks with fuel and lubricants - 60, UAVs of the operational-tactical level - 3, light speedboats - 2 units, automotive vehicles - 355," the report says.
It notes that the data is being updated. "The calculation is complicated by the high intensity of hostilities," the General Staff said.
