NBU allowed the withdrawal of cash in the equivalent of up to UAH 30,000 per day
The National Bank of Ukraine has capped withdrawals from such accounts at UAH 30,000 per day, effective 1 March 2022 instead of fully prohibiting the issuing of cash from FX accounts of customers.
As stated in the report of the NBU on its website on Wednesday, these changes to Resolution No. 18 dated February 24, adopted immediately after the start of the war by Russia and the imposition of martial law, were made by NBU Board Resolution No. 30 dated March 1, 2022.
The regulator said that the NBU has determined as follows as before, businesses and entities implementing government mobilization plans (objectives), as well as entities acting with the NBU's special permission, can withdraw FX cash from their accounts without restrictions, and Withdrawals of cash at bank branches and offices in areas Russia is threatening to occupy will be limited to the available balance. Decisions to disburse funds will be made by heads of bank branches and offices.
