EU will continue to assist Ukraine financially – EU Council President
The European Union will continue to help Ukraine financially, said the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, has said.
"Of course, supporting Ukraine is the mobilization of financial resources, this is what we are already doing, and we will continue to do it. There will be an international donor conference ... We will help refugees and people fleeing the war of conflict, and we will demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Ukraine and those who are mobilizing," Michel said at an urgent European Parliament debate on Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Tuesday.
He pointed out that the solidarity of the EU is also demonstrated by military assistance, which is already being delivered - and will continue to be delivered - to Ukraine.
