Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ) has launched the production of anti-tank "hedgehogs" at 33 of its enterprises from rails intended for track repair.

"We are a peaceful organization, after all. But when our country is attacked, we help defend ourselves. Therefore, we have been making #iron_hedgehogs for several days now. Some 33 of our enterprises and already 12 third-party enterprises are involved. All over the country. As of this morning, 831 pieces were manufactured, 517 pieces were shipped," Ukrzaliznytsia Board Chairman Oleksandr Kamyshin said in his telegram channel on Tuesday.

He said that UZ purchased the rails for the repair and construction of new tracks, but now anti-tank devices are more important, and therefore there will be enough materials "for another thousand hedgehogs."
