Switzerland joins sanctions against Russian leadership
Switzerland has imposed financial sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"Switzerland is also implementing the financial sanctions imposed by the EU on Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov with immediate effect," the Federal Council of Switzerland said in a statement.
President of Switzerland Ignazio Cassis quoted the document at a press conference.
Prime Minister of Australia Scott Morrisson said earlier on Monday that Australia has made a decision on sanctions against the Russian leadership.
