U.S. Ambassador to UN: Washington to follow results of Ukraine-Russia talks
The United States will observe how the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Belarus will turn out, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, told CNN.
We look forward to what will come out of these discussions, she said.
She added that the United States, in connection with the development of the situation around Ukraine, was in favor of diplomacy.
Earlier, press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov told Interfax that negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine would be held in Gomel region.
The telegram channel of the President's Office claimed that the talks between the two countries would take place on Sunday on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border near the Pripyat River.
