Fragment of Russian missile shot down by air defense fell in Troyeschyna residential area in Kyiv – official
The reason for the fire and destruction at the Vyhurivschyna-Troyeschyna largest residential area in Desniansky district of Kyiv on Sunday was the fall of rocket fragments shot down by Ukrainian air defense forces, Vadym Denysenko, adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, has said.
"The Russians fired a missile from a strategic bomber from Belarus, and our air defense shot down this missile. For you to understand, strategic bombers are those that should carry nuclear weapons... Ours shot down this fired missile and these are fragments of this missile," Denysenko said on TSN, commenting on the video of a shell falling into the courtyard of a residential building.
