Invaders surrender in Kharkiv, National Police asked to give them temporary shelter
Numerous facts of the surrender of Russian soldiers to state bodies and local governments are currently being recorded in Kharkiv, the National Police of Ukraine reported on Sunday.
"We appeal to all authorities to carefully record such cases, take away weapons and provide Russian prisoners with temporary shelter," the National Police said on Facebook on Sunday.
The police also called on other Russian soldiers to follow this example – to lay down their arms and surrender.
At the same time, the National Police said that the residents of Kharkiv survived a "terrible night" today, but Ukrainian servicemen "give a powerful rebuff to the Russian invader."
Earlier, the invaders on light vehicles broke into the city limits of Kharkiv, including the city center, street fighting began.
