EU intends to freeze assets of Putin, Lavrov as part of sanctions package – media
The European Union is going to freeze the assets of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as part of a new package of sanctions against Russia, the Financial Times said, citing sources familiar with the situation.
"The EU is preparing to freeze the assets of Vladimir Putin and his foreign minister Sergei Lavrov under the sanctions package being pushed through on Friday," Financial Times said.
At the same time, according to people familiar with the matter, Putin and Lavrov will not be subject to a travel ban.
