President of Lithuania speaks with Zelensky, calls on democratic world to act
The situation in Ukraine is deteriorating, Kyiv is under attack, more and more civilian casualties every hour, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda tweeted after a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday.
"Ukrainians stand firm and dignified, but the democratic world must help. We have to act now!" Nauseda said.
On Friday morning, Zelensky said in his video message that the Ukrainian army continues to defend the state alone, as it did on Thursday.
