Four stations of 'red line' of Kyiv metro working as shelter
Kyiv metro stations Beresteiska, Nyvky, Sviatoshyn and Zhytomyrska, where trains do not run now, are used for shelter in case of an air raid, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
"Friends! These four stations of the red branch of the metro, where trains do not run now for organizational reasons, are open so that the people of Kyiv can use them as shelter in case of an air raid. These are the stations: Beresteiska, Nyvky, Sviatoshyn and Zhytomyrska," Klitschko wrote on himetros Telegram channel.
At the same time, he added that all stations of the Kyiv metro during the alarm are available to people at any time of the day.
"Currently, the metro is operating in transportation mode. Passage at the station is free," the mayor of Kyiv added.
