AFU air forces hold defensive positions, situation is under control – General Staff

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) is holding defensive positions, the situation itself is under control, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

According to the General Staff, on February 24, at 05:00, the armed forces of the Russian Federation started intensive shelling of Ukrainian units in the east, launched missile and bomb attacks on airfields in Boryspil, Ozerny, Kulbakine, Chuhuiv, Kramatorsk, Chornobayivka and on military facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russia started shelling the territory and settlements of Ukraine along the state border.

The General Staff said the information that appeared earlier about the landing of Russian troops in Odesa is not true.
