Shell hits central square in Uman, civilian killed, five more injured

A shell hit the central part of the city of Uman (Cherkasy region), one civilian killed, five more were hospitalized, an evacuation of the population was announced in the region, Head of Cherkasy Regional State Administration Oleksandr Skichko said.

"Uman: a shell hit the central part of the city. One killed among the civilian population, five more in the hospital. In Umansky district, an evacuation of the population has been announced within a radius of a military unit 30 kilometers from Rozsishky," Skichko said on his Facebook page.

Skichko said that mass collection points for those without cars are located at the exit from Uman on the Styi-Izvaryne highway near the WOG gas station. Buses will be waiting there.

"For those who use their own transport: drive along the H-16 highway in a circle, turn to Talne (near the bus station). Representatives of the Regional State Administration will coordinate there," the head of the regional state administration said.
