Ukraine records 696 new COVID-19 cases per day, 1,197 people recovered, 33 people died – ministry
As of Friday morning, some 696 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were recorded in Ukraine, some 1,197 people recovered, some 33 people died, the press service of the Health Ministry of Ukraine said.
"For the day on July 1, 2021, some 696 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease were recorded in Ukraine (of which 36 children, 33 medical workers). Over the past day: 439 people were hospitalized; some 33 people died; some 1,197 people recovered," the ministry said.
In total, during the pandemic in Ukraine, 2.236 million people fell ill, some 2.170 million people recovered, and 52,391 people died.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (194), Odesa (53), Kyiv (50), Lviv (49) and Donetsk (39) regions.
