There is no reason to impose martial law in Ukraine - Razumkov
As of today, there is no reason to impose martial law in Ukraine, speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov said.
"The conditions for the introduction of martial law are clearly defined - this is the approval [at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada] of the presidential decree. But as of today, there are no grounds for the introduction of martial law," the speaker said on the air of Channel 4.
At the same time, he said that if necessary, the parliament is ready to take appropriate measures without delay.
As reported, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, an analysis of the security environment around the state border of Ukraine indicates an increase in the level of threat of the military force use by the Russian Federation.
On April 14, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Taran, at a meeting of the European Parliament's subcommittee on security and defense, said that as a result of the pulling together of an additional military contingent, the number of Russian troops near the borders of Ukraine would reach 110,000 soldiers.
