COVID-19 cases again growing in Ukraine, 17,479 new cases reported in past day
Ukraine has recorded 17,479 new cases of COVID-19, 12,054 recoveries and 438 related deaths over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said.
"Ukraine has registered 17,479 new daily cases of the coronavirus infection as of April 16, 2021, including 709 children and 378 medical workers. Also, 4,348 people have been admitted to hospitals. Medics have recorded 438 fatalities and 12,054 recoveries over the past day," Stepanov said on Facebook on Friday morning.
Ukraine has recorded a total of 1,921,244 cases of COVID-19, including 39,096 deaths and 1,465,820 recoveries, since the pandemic began.
Since Ukraine launched its vaccination campaign, a total of 432,817 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19, including 13,520 on April 15.
