Zelensky to meet Macron in Paris on April 16 - press secretary
The Ukrainian and French presidents will meet in Paris on April 16 to discuss the situation in Donbas and the massing of Russian troops on the joint border, Ukrainian presidential press secretary Yulia Mendel said.
"President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine and President Emmanuel Macron of France are meeting in Paris on Friday. The presidents will focus on the situation in Donbas and in regard to the Russian military build-up on the borders with Ukraine," Mendel told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.
Earlier, the Le Figaro newspaper reported that Zelensky would be in France this Friday to meet with Macron. It noted that this visit is in relation to the increase in tensions in Ukraine due to Russia's military buildup on the joint border. The two presidents will meet over a working lunch at the Elysee Palace.
