Opposition activist Alexei Navalny said he is going on a hunger strike in the penal colony in the Vladimir region, demanding that a doctor be granted access to him.
"I have gone on hunger strike, demanding that the law should be observed and that the invited doctor should be granted access to me," Navalny said on his Instagram account.
He linked the demand for medical attention to his back and leg pain, and alleged absence of medical assistance.
