Ukraine registers Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19 - chief medical officer
Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Liashko has announced the registration of the COVID-19 vaccine by Pfizer in Ukraine.
"Vaccination in Ukraine is carried out with the registered drugs. Yesterday, two immunobiological drugs for the prevention of COVID-19 were registered in Ukraine: this is the drug CoviShield/AstraZeneca ... and the Pfizer vaccine is also registered," Liashko said at a briefing on Tuesday.
Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine announced the registration in Ukraine of the Oxford/AstraZeneca (Covishield) vaccine for emergency medical use against COVID-19, which had previously been approved by the World Health Organization.
Ukraine has a law that simplifies the registration procedure for COVID-19 vaccines and reduces it to five working days.
