Ukraine reports 6,911 new COVID-19 cases, 14,490 recoveries in past day - Health Ministry
Ukraine registered 6,911 new COVID-19 cases, 14,490 recoveries, and 228 deaths in the past 24 hours, Ukrainian Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said.
"Ukraine recorded 6,911 new CoVID-19 cases on January 6, 2021. They include 203 children and 406 health workers. Over the past day, 2,978 patients were hospitalized, 228 died, and 14,490 recovered," Stepanov said on Facebook on Wednesday morning.
Ukraine reported 5,334 new coronavirus infections on January 5, 4,158 on January 4, 4,576 on January 3, 5,038 on January 2, and 9,432 on January 1.
As of Wednesday morning, Ukraine's COVID-19 total case count stands at 1,090,496, including 19,357 deaths and 761,898 recoveries.
The past day saw the largest number of new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Kyiv (931), Odesa region (668), Zaporizhia region (622), Kyiv region (596), and Kharkiv region (557).
