Ukraine registers 13,371 COVID-19 new cases per day, 13,903 recoveries - Stepanov
As of Thursday morning, 13,371 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were recorded in Ukraine, 13,903 people recovered, and 266 patients died, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said.
"Some 13,371 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of December 10, 2020. In particular, 652 children and 580 medical workers fell ill. Also, over the past day, 2,993 people were hospitalized, 266 died, and 13,903 people recovered," Stepanov wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.
The day before, on December 9, some 12,585 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded. On December 8, some 10,811 new cases of the disease were recorded in Ukraine, on December 7, some 8,641 new cases of the infection were reported, and on December 6, some 11,590 new cases were reported.
The number of people infected since of the pandemic on Thursday morning was 858,714 people, 14,470 people died from COVID-19, and 465,021 people recovered.
Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv city (1,899), Zaporizhia (1,060), Dnipro (835), Cherkasy (721) and Kharkiv (719) regions.
