Likelihood of extending law on special procedure for local self-government in ORDLO remains – Korniyenko

The option to extend the law "On a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions" remains with the Verkhovna Rada, first deputy head of the Servant of the People faction, leader of the party of the same name Oleksandr Korniyenko has said.

"We always have the option to extend the current law on the table, it hasn't gone anywhere. As for the rest of the legislation, its preparation, writing and promotion in the Verkhovna Rada depends on the negotiation process, on the Normandy process. Now we hope for a meeting of the Normandy Four advisors. We rely on the diplomatic component here," Korniyenko said in an exclusive interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

As reported, the law on a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is valid until December 31, 2020 (inclusively).
