Belarusian police confirm using anti-riot equipment 'to suppress protesters' illegal actions' in Minsk
Belarusian Interior Ministry spokesperson Olga Chemodanova confirmed to Interfax that anti-riot equipment has been used at a protest in Minsk.
"Law enforcement officers have used anti-riot equipment to suppress illegal actions by protesters," Chemodanova said on Sunday.
The Interior Ministry is looking into the information about a shooting incident in Orlovskaya Street, she added.
As eyewitnesses said earlier, law enforcement officers had used stun grenades against protesters in Minsk.
