Ukraine records 1,464 new cases of COVID-19 over past day, 342 recoveries, 21 deaths – NSDC
Ukraine, as of Monday morning, recorded 1,464 cases of COVID-19 over the past day. At the same time, 342 people recovered, while 21 people who were previously sick died, according to data published on the website of the Monitoring System for the Spread of the Coronavirus Epidemic of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).
A day earlier, on August 16, some 1,637 cases were reported, while there were 1,847 new infections on August 15, and 1,732 infected people on August 13.
The number of infected people is 92,820 as of Monday morning, 48,164 people have recovered and 2,089 people have died since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some 42,567 people are sick with COVID-19 in Ukraine now.
The largest number of detected cases of COVID-19 over the past day was recorded in Rivne region (178), Chernivtsi (165), and Ivano-Frankivsk region (164).
In addition, over the past day, 1,490 suspected cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded in Ukraine as a whole.
