Meeting with president precedes NBU governor's resignation
Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Yakiv Smolii has said that his statement of resignation was preceded by a meeting with head of state Volodymyr Zelensky.
"A few days ago I had a meeting with the president of Ukraine, where we discussed the procedure and time when I submit my statement of resignation," he told reporters during a press briefing on Friday.
