Wage arrears to Mykolaiv Shipyard staff fully repaid as instructed by Zelensky
The issue of paying off wage arrears to the employees of state-owned Mykolaiv Shipbuilding Plant has been resolved on the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, the President's Office has said.
"On July 23, Ukroboronprom state concern reported on the fulfillment of the presidential order in full. According to its information, UAH 54.8 million was transferred to the accounts of Mykolaiv Shipyard to pay off wage arrears. In addition, UAH 31.7 million was transferred for the compensation for untimely paid wages, as well as taxes and fees associated with the payment of labor remuneration," the report says.
The President's Office noted that Zelensky during a working visit to Mykolaiv region on July 17 received information about wage arrears to the workers of this enterprise. The president instructed Director General of Ukroboronprom Pavlo Bukin to immediately resolve the issue of repaying this debt.
