Foreign policy advisors to meet soon in advance of Normandy-format summit
Foreign-policy advisors from France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine (the Normandy Four format) will meet soon to prepare for the next meeting of their countries' leaders, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
"We have come to an agreement on the importance of resuming cooperation in the Normandy format. Our foreign policy advisors will meet in the near future and prepare the next meeting of our leaders. This is the key issue," Zelensky said at a joint briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron after meeting with him in Paris on Monday.
A return to the "Normandy-format" dialogue should be premised on the release of Ukrainian captives including the sailors, ceasefire and disengagement, Zelensky said.
"We also need to hold the humanitarian mission, build a bridge in Stanytsia Luhanska. I think such steps are not that complicated, we can make them in the near future and then return to the Normandy format and to resolving this serious conflict," Zelensky said.
