Zlochevsky case resumed several months ago, investigation under way – prosecutor general
Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko has said that proceedings against ex-minister of ecology of Ukraine Mykola Zlochevsky have been resumed.
"The Zlochevsky case was resumed several months ago, because our investigators were able to track the traces of the Zlochevsky company officials and, during authorized searches and other investigative actions, established facts that will probably enable us to recover the charges under Article 209 – money laundering," Lutsenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Tuesday.
He said that the suspicion was issued a few months ago by prosecutor Kostiantyn Kulik, the investigative actions are under way.
Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine implies punishment for legalization (laundering) of criminally obtained money and other property.
