Yanukovych congratulates Zelensky with election victory

Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has congratulated Volodymyr Zelensky on his victory in the presidential election of Ukraine.

"I sincerely congratulate you on your election as president of Ukraine. Ukrainians entrusted you with this post at the hardest time of our country's history," spokesman for Yanukovych's son, Oleksandr Yanukovych, Yuriy Kirasir wrote on Facebook.

He also called on Zelensky not to betray the Ukrainians who trusted him.
