Zelensky casts his ballot on Election Day in Ukraine
Ukrainian presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Elena have cast their ballots in Sunday's presidential election at a polling station on the premises of Kyiv's sea and river transport college.
"I think that a new life is starting in our country today. A new life, a normal life without corruption and bribes is beginning," Zelensky told reporters.
Zelensky also said that he and his team believe that he will win.
When asked who, in his opinion, could be his rival in a second-round run-off, Zelensky said: "It may be just me. Let the Ukrainians decide."
The first round of Ukraine's presidential election is taking place on Sunday. The polling stations will close at 8:00 p.m. A record-large number of candidates - 39 - are running in this presidential election.
