Ukrainian vessels came under fire from Russian fighter jet before being seized
A Russian fighter jet on Sunday, November 25, had fired an attack on the Ukrainian naval vessels before they were seized in the Black Sea waters, Viktor Muzhenko, chief of the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces, has said.
"We have received additional information that as part on the attack against the Ukrainian vessels, the Russian Federation also used a Su-30 fighter jet, which fired two missiles," Muzhenko told the parliament in his address on November 26 late night.
The Verkhovna Rada gathered for a late-night meeting on November 26 to consider the introduction of martial law in Ukraine following Russia's aggression against three Ukrainian naval vessels in the Kerch Strait.
