Ukrainian military liberates village in Svitlodar bulge – JFO HQ
Ukrainian soldiers on Saturday liberated another village in eastern Ukraine, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has said.
"Acting in accordance with instructions of JFO Commander Lieutenant-General Serhiy Nayev, JFO units of the 72nd brigade and in cooperation with sappers conducted operations in Svitlodar bulge," JFO HQ said on Facebook on Saturday evening.
According to the report, JFO units, despite enemy shelling and mortal danger, raised the Ukrainian flag in a town under the very nose of Russia-occupation forces.
"Ukrainian Special forces prepared for the operation for more than a month. It was a month ago that intelligence learned the village was occupied," the report said, adding that JFO forces will continue fighting with Russian-led occupation forces in the area.
