Poroshenko demands law enforcement agencies do everything possible to find, punish Handziuk's killers
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has confirmed the death of Kateryna Handziuk, former acting administrator of the executive committee of Kherson City Council and advisor to the Kherson mayor and called on law enforcement officers to find those responsible for her death.
"I have just been informed that activist Kateryna Handziuk, who was attacked by a nonhuman who poured acid over her, unfortunately died in the hospital," he said in Turkey at the opening ceremony of the center of the Ukrainian community in Antalya on Sunday afternoon.
The head of state called on law enforcement officers to find those responsible for her death.
"I want to address the law enforcers to do everything possible to find and punish the murderers, so that they find themselves in the dock. And we all need to unite efforts in order to make it happen," Poroshenko said.
