Ukraine, Belarus should maintain trend of strengthening relations – Poroshenko
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has noted the trends of strengthening Ukrainian-Belarusian relations, according to the official website of the head of state.
"We are absolutely sure that relations have reached serious growth. The economy of our countries emphasizes that the increase exceeds 23% every year, in foreign currency," Poroshenko said during a one-on-one meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Gomel on Friday.
He noted an increase in the supply of Ukrainian products to Belarus.
"It is very important for us to maintain these trends," Poroshenko added.
Poroshenko also emphasized the effectiveness of the first Forum of the Regions of Ukraine and Belarus, during which a number of agreements were signed between the regions of the two states, and announced the signing of several more documents.
